Abstract

SABO, María José. Los restos de una lengua en Mano de obra de Diamela Eltit. Anclajes [online]. 2021, vol.25, n.1, pp.8-24. ISSN 1851-4669.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.19137/anclajes-2021-2512.

The article analyzes how Diamela Eltit’s Mano de obra (2002) deals with utopian moments of Chilean history, from the turn of the 20th century through the 1970s. Mano de obra recovers the archival remainders of a dissenting language that was spoken by the historical “others” of the Chilean nation, making it the common tongue in the novel.

Keywords : Diamela Eltit; Chilean literature; XXIth century; Archive; Capitalism.
