Abstract
RUDA, Ester et al. Behavior of Sludge of Jely Factory Used as Organic Fertilizer. Rev. cienc. tecnol. [online]. 2009, n.11, pp.59-65. ISSN 1851-7587.
The objectives of this study were to characterize the sludge generated in the aerobic effluent treatment plant of gelatin and to study its behavior as organic fertilizer through its implementation in an experimental field, at different doses, compared with a commercial fertilizer (worm´s humus). In the sludge, Apparent density, Real density, pH, Electrical conductivity, Carbon, Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium and Heavy metals were analyzed. In soil: Water equivalent, Electrical conductivity, Apparent density, pH, Carbon, Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Potassium and Cation exchange capacity were analyzed. Sludge is produced with a chemical composition considered as "stable" for this type of material. Its developments in the soil is consistent with its use as organic fertilizer for progressive delivery of nutrients.
Keywords : Industrial sludge; Organic fertilizer.
