Abstract
SOUTO, M. Soledad; CAPILLA, Raquel M. and BERNE VALERO, José Luis. Establishment of GN SS active networks for scientific and professional purposes: case study in Cordoba (Argentina) and contrast with precise Point Positioning Technique. Rev. cienc. tecnol. [online]. 2010, n.13. ISSN 1851-7587.
In the last few years, the use of the Global Positioning Systems (GNSS), in the fields of Geodesy, Surveying, Topography and Teomatic applications has given rise to a growing community of users, who demand the availability of modern infrastructure and services adapted to the GNSS technology. In view of this current demand, the global trend has focused on the development of active networks of permanent stations. These networks are now and they will be in the future, the essential frameworks for scientific, geodesic and topographic applications. They will require great accuracy, adding the advantage of allowing measurements and real-time positioning (at the very moment of the measurement) and reaching a few centimeters of accuracy through "differential positioning". Furthermore, the deployment of this infrastructure contributes to the national and local scientific development. This article summarises the guidelines in the design of an active GNSS network for the Province of Córdoba.
Keywords : GPS; Permanent Station GNSS; VRS (Virtual Referente Station); Province de Córdoba; PPP (Precise Point Positioning).
