Abstract

A research study was carried out at the School of Exact, Chemical and Natural Sciences at the State University of Misiones. It is in line with Brosseau's Didactic Situations, where errors are considered as obstacles for learning. This theory was used to analyze the mathematical knowledge of entrant students of cohorts 2003-2004. We analyzed answers given to assessment during the Entry Course. The same or similar tests were given after one year of attendance as regular students. Occurence of learning errors was detected and categorized. They followed stable and permanent behavior patterns, therefore they were resilient to the learning process.
