Abstract

SOSA, Eduardo O  and  GODOY, Diego A. Future internet: challenges and issues. Rev. cienc. tecnol. [online]. 2014, n.21, pp.40-46. ISSN 1851-7587.

In the near future, within the framework of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT), the internet is intended to represent a set of concepts and technologies that will involve devices, interfaces and software. From the internet of computers, through Web 2.0, the trend is ubiquity and the strengthening of the new computing paradigm aimed at "datacentric" networks. This paper analyzes the evolution of the technologies and concepts so far involved in the development of Internet of Things (IoT); also, it analyses the challenges and implications that are in the way to deepen in the domain known as "Future Internet". A conclusion is settled that the change of paradigms involves the whole society, and they must be addressed as ethical and technological challenges worldwide. Internet of things must tackle mitigate risks in a society where its own information should be transparent to those players selected and completely invisible to others.

Keywords : Future internet; Internet of things; Wireless networks; Ubiquity; WSN; RFID.
