Abstract

This paper develops the different points of view and the similarities between the comments on Genesis by St. Basil, St. Ambrose and St. Bonaventure from a philosophical and theological perspective, based on the text of St. Augustine´s commentary. A detailed analysis of the sources notes relationships, influences and continuity in the hexameral tradition represented here.
