Abstract

ROIG, Elisabeth. The Walls of the Empire. Estud. filos. práct. hist. ideas [online]. 2006, n.8, pp.127-135. ISSN 1851-9490.

This work, written from a critic standpoint, is about the meaning of the concept of wall in its sociopolitical and symbolic context. Deriving from the outspreading of walls all over the world between nations, countries, cultures, we pose the existence of virtual walls such as the "poverty line", which mark the exclusion of big social groups.

Keywords : Wall; Exclusion; Empire.
