Abstract

ECHEVERRIA, Cristóbal Friz. Market, competition, neoliberalism: José Joaquín Brunner’s university concept. Estud. filos. práct. hist. ideas [online]. 2015, vol.17, n.1, pp.21-32. ISSN 1851-9490.

This article -based in the methodological assumption that university models are normative; that means, they indicate what the university must be- presents the university concept of Chilean intellectual José Joaquín Brunner. In our interpretation, this concept, focused on ideas of market and competition, is a vindication of neoliberal education policies in Chile, Latin America and the world.

Keywords : Brunner; University; Market; Competition; Neoliberalism.
