Abstract

FERNANDEZ HASAN, Valeria. Activism and Academia: the Feminist Conversation. Estud. filos. práct. hist. ideas [online]. 2020, vol.22, n.1, pp.1-13. ISSN 1851-9490.

The year 2018 marked a hinge for the Argentine women's / feminist movement. After the enormous visibility achieved, as a result of the exhibition during the debate on the voluntary termination of pregnancy law, 2019 was presented as an opportunity for withdrawal and reflection. In various fields, activists and academics, met throughout the months under the same slogan: rethink about the precipitation of meanings and practices of the green tide and design strategies forward around some common political and theoretical issue. We analyze here two meetings held at the ends of the year 2019 with the intention of collecting the marks of the feminist conversation as a political gesture of construction of agreements and collective knowledge of horizontal organization, circulating, spreading, spilling into heterogeneous groups of young people newly arrived at movement, pioneers of extensive experience and militants of different traditions.
