Abstract
REANO, Ariana and GARATEGARAY, Martina. Democracy as a political language of transition. Advances in the construction of an analysis perspective. Prismas [online]. 2018, vol.22, n.1, pp.33-52. ISSN 1852-0499.
In this article we aim to delineate a theoretical analysis perspective to think the democratic transitions in Latin America, inspired in the interdisciplinary intersection of the new history of ideas with the pos-foundational political theory. In this sense, in the first part we summarize the principal contributions of intellectual history, especially in relation to the notion of political language, at the same time that we indicate some limitations of this interdisciplinary field to think transitions. In the second section we argue to what extent the notion of political language can be articulated with some of the fundamental presuppositions of post-foundational contemporary political theory, to reflect on democracy and the political. In the final part we reconsider why political language is an original notion to explore democratic transitions, defined as a context of political and intellectual debate, and in relation to the classic political science transition studies.
