Abstract

GARCIA, David Antonio Pulido. The Great War and Latin American unity in times of Revolution (Mexico, 1914-1916). Prismas [online]. 2022, vol.26, n.1, pp.36-57.  Epub Nov 01, 2022. ISSN 1852-0499.  http://dx.doi.org/10.48160/18520499prismas26.1248.

Through the analysis of primary sources so far little approached for the period and the subject under discussion, this article shows how the Great War played a major role in the structuring of the Latin Americanist discourse in the times of Venustiano Carranza. In turn, it is argued that this discourse represented the main ideological and political influence in the formation of the Mexican student movement.

Keywords : Mexico; Latin American Unity; Anti-imperialism; World War I; student movement..
