Abstract

The organization and visibility of urban indigenous population, in recent decades, has been strengthened through intercultural alliances, new spaces for political participation and an effective articulation between the different state's levels. The aim of this paper is analyze, through the case of the Coordination of Indigenous Peoples of Almirante Brown (created in 2007), how was the constitution of a political feld of alliances and fractures between indigenous, their political participation and the local administration. All this in the framework of an administrative decentralization process of the state´s structures, where the consequences are an increase in the management of resources, plans and projects in the local government whose redistribution reproduces clientelar relationships, increase the interest of the appropriation of administrative structures and tenses the recognition and participation of the indigenous people in the area.
