This paper focuses on the analysis and determination of the lithic raw materials used by hunter-gatherers for stone bola manufacture in Buenos Aires Province, the Pampean Región. The petrographic identification was made using thin sections and macroscopic observation. The regional availability of the rocks used and the relationship between natural availability and the manufacture of other artifacts by pitting, abrasión, polishing and/or modifed by use were explored. Also the selection of different raw materials for stone bola making was analyzed.
