This paper examines the common traits related to women's body and desire of several French films, most of them directed, at the end of the XXth century and the beginning of the XXIst, by women such as Agnès Varda, Marie Mandy, Virginie Despentes, Jeanne Labrune, and Anne Fontaine, among others. It analyzes with more detail Romance (1999) by Catherine Breillat. This work tries to reflect on the uses of the pornographic genre in these films, and especially on an eventual feminist use of this genre.
