Abstract

CAMPOS, Esteban. ¿Locura, épica o tragicomedia?: Las historias de la contraofensiva montonera en la era de la democracia consolidada. Estud. - Cent. Estud. Av., Univ. Nac. Córdoba [online]. 2013, n.29, pp.93-110. ISSN 1852-1568.

In this paper we investigate the literary, journalistic and testimonial productions on the Montonero's Counteroffensive, trying to remove its narrative strategies. In Argentina, the latest military campaigns of the armed organization Montoneros constitute a traumatic event for the public memory and historical research, consolidating a stereotype of the Counteroffensive as a reverse of democratic political reason restored in 1983. Where does the tendency to judge as madness, tragedy or epic the last battle of the argentine guerrilla? To answer this question, we incorporate as theoretical framework and auxiliary discipline the cultural anthropology Marvin Har ris, including emic and etic categories, which will be used to understand the attitudes of the fieldworker. So we can understand the various forms of «empathy» and «antipathy» toward the armed movements, understanding these reactions as a take away or a narrow attachment on native categories of subject matter. We will take three books on the Montonero's counteroffensive: El tren de la victoria. Una saga familiar, from Cristina Zuker (2003), Lo que mata de las balas es la velocidad, from Eduardo Astiz (2005) and Fuimos soldados. Historia secreta de la Contraofensiva montonera, from Marcelo Larraquy (2006)

Keywords : Montoneros; emic - etic; Recent History; Counteroffensive.
