Abstract

We analyze the publication "Estrategia" (Strategy) (Bogotá, 1962-1964) with tools of Intellectual History and studies of the left in the specific juncture of the Colombian "National Front". The articulating axis is the trajectory of its main leaders: Mario Arrubla (1936) and Estanislao Zuleta (1935-1990), which makes it possible to show the journal in a greater temporality by linking it with the previous experiences of its leaders, as well as a space of sociability that gathers other actors and dialogues with a broader review context. We replay the main political debates in which the publication is immersed, as well as the cultural perspective that serves as inspiration. Such as: the Sartre idea of the responsible intellectual, the articulation between theory and practice, Colombian capitalism understood as a dependent economy and the re-reading of the Marxism with the question of subjectivity. Thus, we place this experience in the configuration of a New Left as of a cultural type.
