At the clandestine detention center in the Argentine Navy Mechanics School (ESMA), was installed a specific system of imprisonment, the so called “recuperation process”, that include a method for the kidnapped to go in and out which meant new ways of spreading the "disappearing power". Based on survivors' testimonies, this article studies all these movements, from three work logics: the repressive, the political, and the economic. This analysis allows us to rethink the concept of enforced disappearance and the "disappearing power", as shown by the space and social fabrics built in imprisonment.
