Abstract

MANDUCA, Ramiro Alejandro. Dos sentidos de la democracia en el movimiento Teatro Abierto. Las instituciones y las calles en la “primavera democrática”. Sociohistórica [online]. 2021, n.48, e147. ISSN 1852-1606.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.24215/18521606e147.

Teatro Abierto is a canonical reference when thinking about the years of the transition from the last Argentine military dictatorship to democracy. On this occasion we will seek to address the less studied stage of the movement, in the heat of the new political regime. The questions that will guide us will be how it was understood within the Teatro Abierto what expectations it aroused and what modes of intervention its different members adopted. We will analyze two drifts: one of them, characterized by the institutional insertion of part of the historical references of the movement; the other, linked to its continuity, but under new organizational and aesthetic logics that were deployed in diverse spaces: squares, parks, Psychiatric hospitals, homes taken and neighborhood cultural centers, among others. It will be of particular interest for this work to analyze the various affinity networks that were configured, the organizational and aesthetic changes adopted

Keywords : Democracy; Theater; Politics; Militancy.
