Abstract

PEREZ ALMANSI, Bruno. Terminales automotrices y proveedores autopartistas en Argentina. Un análisis sobre su poder empresarial y las políticas de comercio exterior (2002-2015). Sociohistórica [online]. 2022, n.50, e176. ISSN 1852-1606.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.24215/18521606e176.

The objective of the article is to analyze how the business power of the Argentine automotive industry actors influenced the design and implementation of foreign trade policies in the sector between 2002 and 2015. The methodological strategy employed combined the use of documentary sources, interviews with key informants and descriptive statistics. Overall, it was found that the Original Equipment Manufacturers had greater power in the first stage of the period, obtaining greater benefits in terms of foreign trade policy. However, the macroeconomic and political changes in Argentina from 2008 affected the power of this actor, generating fewer trade policy concessions.
