MAZOUD, Pedro and NASIF, Zaida Yamila. Laryngotracheal injury secondary to blunt neck trauma. Rev. am. med. respir. [online]. 2022, vol.22, n.1, pp.51-56. ISSN 1852-236X.

They represent 5-10% of all trauma cases, and are accompanied by a mortality of approximately 1-7%, requiring early diagnosis and management. The organs frequently injured are: vascular structures, in 20%, and it is estimated that the air and digestive tracts are compromised in 10% of cases.
