Mexican psychophysiology through the work of three researchers: Raúl Hernández-Peón, Dionisio Nieto, and Augusto Fernández-Guardiola. This paper provides a panoramic overview of the development of psychophysiology in Mexico, examining the life and work of three of its finest representatives, all of them deceased: Raúl Hernández-Peón (1924-1968), Dionisio Nieto (1908-1985) and Augusto Fernández-Guardiola (1921-2004). The scientific contributions of these researchers have had international impact and their numerous students have contributed to make of psychophysiology one of the most productive areas and of greater temporal and geographical impact.
