Abstract
DI NUCCI, Josefina. Tandil in the territorial division of labor of soft drinks and flavored waters. Rev. Univ. geogr. [online]. 2013, vol.22, n.2, pp.101-128. ISSN 1852-4265.
In this paper we present a study on the role of the city of Tandil in the territorial division of labor of soft drinks and flavored waters. We inquire about the existence of a weak lower circuit in the manufacturing of those drinks with important technical limitations, idle capacity, deterioration of capital and other organizational rationalities, where economic uncertainty and insecurity are predominant. We can see how in this city even the local component plays an important role in the distribution and marketing in both, upper and lower circuits. We studied the retail marketing in the city and particularly in two neighborhoods, Centro and Villa Aguirre, which allowed us to see the joint actions of supermarket chains, a growing marginal upper circuit formed by oriental supermarkets and independent supermarkets and a dense lower circuit composed of grocery stores and food markets where co-presence and solidarity relations in a shared territory prevail.
