After a diachronic review of the treatment of the topic of the Spanisch civil war in Galicien narrative, this article focuses on the performative role played in this context by some narrative works of Manuel Rivas, and their effectiveness as means of legitimation and dynamization factors of the process recovery of historical memory. Finally, it is proposed to consider Rivas as an ‘emprendedor de la memoria’ (Jelin) and his works as ‘lieux de memoire’ (Nora) in their condition of cultural artifacts of social integration.
