Abstract

ALBERT, Mechthild. La princesa Kristina de Noruega en la novela histórica postmoderna: proyecciones ficcionales e interpretaciones actuales de la cultura alfonsí. Olivar [online]. 2021, vol.21, n.34, e107. ISSN 1852-4478.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.24215/18524478e107.

This article analizes the recent boom of historical novels dedicated to Princess Kristina of Norway (1234 - 1262), wife of the infant Philip of Castile, which contribute to construct the time of Alfonso X as a site of memory from a current perspective, focusing, among others, on the feminine condition, intercultural coexistence and the idea of Europe. Likewise, several metafictional elements serve to highlight the relationship between ficta and facta.

Keywords : Alfonso X of Castile; Kristina of Norway; Site of memory; Postmodern historical novel; Ficta and facta.
