Abstract

LLERA, José Antonio. Imaginarios de la abyección y espectros del pasado: en torno a “Infancia y muerte”, de Federico García Lorca. Olivar [online]. 2022, vol.22, n.35, e120. ISSN 1852-4478.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.24215/18524478e120.

“Infancia y muerte” is a poem that Federico García Lorca wrote in 1929 during his stay in the United States, but which was not included in the manuscript of Poeta en Nueva York. The text, which deals with the loss of childhood, was made known in 1978 by Rafael Martínez Nadal, thanks to his edition of the unpublished handwritten manuscripts of the Spanish poet. This paper deals with an analysis of this poem, focusing on its symbols and the notion of abjection.

Keywords : Federico García Lorca; Poeta en Nueva York; Abjection; Surrealism; Expresionism.
