Abstract

VILLALOBOS MARTINEZ, Alejandro; SANHUEZA HENRIQUEZ, Susan  and  NORAMBUENA CARRASCO, Carmen. Migración y territorialidad: aportes para la construcción de modelos educativos interculturales. Pap. trab. - Cent. Estud. Interdiscip. Etnolingüíst. Antropol. Soc. [online]. 2017, n.33, pp.92-109. ISSN 1852-4508.

This article aims to examine some theoretical and conceptual aspects of the idea of territory and territoriality in relation to the issue of migration as a multicausal phenomenon, oriented to see how territories are prepared educationally in the face of these migratory processes. We focus on analyzing some socio-demographic characteristics of the Maule region in Chile, an agro-industrial region with little economic development at the national level, but an alternative for the migrant population that perceives opportunities for integration in Chile. Clearly, it is education, in societies like ours, the indispensable instrument for the construction of more inclusive and supportive societies. The final reflections aim to contribute with orientations for the construction of intercultural educational models, in a context of recognition of the conventions and treaties that safeguard Human Rights and especially the rights of children.
