Abstract
LIZARELLI, Nayara. Discussion about ethnographic method: mortification as relational action of Opus Dei. Rev. Mus. Antropol. [online]. 2016, vol.9, n.2, pp.127-134. ISSN 1852-060X.
This work proposes a brief discussion about the contemporary ethnographic method represented by Bruno Latour, Marilyn Strathern and Eduardo Viveiros de Castro.Starting with some of the key concepts developed by the authors as "Mesh," "perspectivism" and "relation", this work seeks to understand the mortification as the responsible essence the implementation of all the relational actions and meanings present in Opus Dei. Even though I refer to the authors, the discussion includes reports of the first fieldwork on Alfa Cultural Center in São José dos Campos/ SP (Brazil), between 2012 and 2013.
