Abstract The present article studies lithic technology in components assigned to the Middle Holocene from Cerro Tres Tetas 1 site, located in the Central Plateau of Santa Cruz, Argentina. Regional trends for the period show the practice of knnaping and bifacial reduction techniques, greater artefactual density and the increase in blade production, all these compared to previous moments. The aim is to analyze production strategies followed in the manufacture of stone tools. The assemblage is approached from a techno morphological perspective that pretends to identify relationships between the artifacts, to evaluate knnaping activities, techniques and decisions involved with production processes. The results indicate selection of local raw materials, employment of standardized and non-standardized reduction techniques of cores, increase in choice of blades for the manufacture of artifacts and predominance of production sequences with low work investment.
