Abstract This paper describes an experience of museographic script development and assembly of a permanent exhibition about indigenous peopling in the Pampean region, held in the Municipal Museums Area of Necochea (Buenos Aires province). One of the most important characteristics of this work was the integral planning, since the beginning of the script, to guarantee the accessibility to the contents to people with visual diminution. That is why we needed to develop different strategies and sensorial devices.Throughout the paper, we contextualize this specific exhibition in the general work and activities context of the Necochea Museums Area, then we consider public spaces and accessibility; next the context of work, choices and decision taken during the process are described, and finally we analyzed the experience and its implementation in the frame of the local community.
