Abstract

SIRIMARCO, Mariana. Santucho in the Museum (Campo de Mayo, Argentina). Death, war and disappearance. Rev. Mus. Antropol. [online]. 2023, vol.16, n.3, pp.123-136.  Epub Dec 28, 2023. ISSN 1852-060X.  http://dx.doi.org/10.31048/1852.4826.v16.n2.41752.

This paper examines the ‘Museo de la Subversión’ in Campo de Mayo opened during the last Argentinean dictatorship, questioning the exercise of masked violence that this place implemented by exposing “elements taken from terrorists’ groups in combats and military operations”. In this context, this paper specifically examines two objects related to Mario Santucho. In doing so, it intends to refer to what was the heart of these places: the tight matrix of death, war trophies and disappearance.

Keywords : Museo de la Subversión; Campo de Mayo; Santucho; War; Trophies; Disappearance.
