Abstract

LEDESMA, Rossana  and  CARDOZO, Valeria. Towards a more accessible and engaged archaeology with society: Reflections and experiences on public communication of science (Province of Salta). Rev. Mus. Antropol. [online]. 2024, vol.17, n.1, pp.175-188.  Epub Apr 30, 2024. ISSN 1852-060X.  http://dx.doi.org/10.31048/1852.4826.v17.n1.43537.

In this work, framed within the realm of public communication of science, we present the experiences implemented by the Tecnoriginaria working group in the projects “Professor Antonio Serrano Collection of the National University of Salta” and “Destination Cafayate and Quebrada de las Conchas (Salta): Public communication of science and responsible tourism.” Our proposal is based on interdisciplinary associations with long-term goals, establishing joint activities in accordance with frameworks and methodologies within the realm of strategic communication. This facilitates connection among our target audiences, research teams, and the institutions involved. As part of our reflections, we analyze the use of modern technologies, such as social networks, and the promotion of institutional agreements. Although the group comprises professionals from social and natural sciences, we will synthesize both general planning and specific experiences in archaeology. The overarching objective is to examine and consider the methodology used in implementing strategic communication actions.
