Abstract

NAGEL, Rosa. La mutación adaptativa: Polémicas y mecanismos. BAG, J. basic appl. genet. [online]. 2007, vol.18, n.2, pp.51-59. ISSN 1852-6233.

Genomic variation plays an essential role in evolution. Some of the processes underlying genomic variability are being analyzed, with particular emphasis on the mechanism of mutagenesis taking place with bacteria under stationary-phase stress conditions. This process involves the presence of DNA nicks or breaks, the participation of recombination-repair proteins and specific polymerases, and the induction of cellular stress responses.

Keywords : Respuesta al estrés; Rotura ADN; Recombinación; Polimerasas; Amplificación génica.
