Abstract

AYALA RINCON, Sonia del Pilar. Suppositions regarding penitentiary treatment of the inmates confined in penitentiaries and prisons in the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga. Subj. procesos cogn. [online]. 2015, vol.19, n.2, pp.39-57. ISSN 1852-7310.

Prison treatment becomes the basic element for the process of reintegration of inmates confined in the penitentiary system. This study established what suppositions the staff of inmates of prisons located in the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga has regarding treatment received in prison. This qualitative study, is inserted within a hermeneutical- narrative paradigm. The sample was composed of inmates who participated in the study on a voluntary basis. Data was collected by means of a few guiding questions established in advance using a focus group technique. The information obtained was analysed with retrieved discourse analysis.
