Abstract

REMBADO, José María. Description of an instrument for the analysis of the state of the defense in the voice intonation. Subj. procesos cogn. [online]. 2017, vol.21, n.1, pp.122-145. ISSN 1852-7310.

Since the voice tone can both express affection and be measured we believe that once the patient’s zero frequency has been identified, and complemented with a bass and treble tonal scale, we would be able to identify if affection is or is not processable by the ego. We apply: a) the DLA to categorize speech acts of the patient; (b) the Praat Acoustic Analyzer to measure the tone of voice of the patient’s speech acts; c) and a tonal weighting index with markers (treble and bass) to infer if an affection (anguish or pain) is or is not processable by the ego. The defence succeeds when the ego can sustain itself, keeping the conflict outside the ego. It fails when it does not achieve the aforementioned. And it is mixed when the conflict doesn’t return and the ego maintains a neutral condition.
