Abstract

STOPPIELLO, Luis Alberto. Precocious Triadic Interaction Scale (PTIS): an instrument to measure parent-baby interactions. Subj. procesos cogn. [online]. 2017, vol.21, n.1, pp.194-218. ISSN 1852-7310.

The author presents a scale designed within the frame of a doctoral thesis, to measure the exchanges between a baby and its parents during the first year of life. The article consists of the following parts: 1) methodological features of the tool, 2) studies of validity and reliability, 3) strengths and weaknesses detected, 4) solution proposals for a new version, 5) illustration of the instrument with fragments of sequences of triadic family interactions, 6) possible combinations with other instruments and 6) closing remarks.
