Actually 300,000 ha are burned in average per year in La Pampa province. This fires affected areas with Prosopis caldenia, and the aboveground of this species is affected. The objective of this work was to evaluate the response of the calden to fire. In selected sites the breath diameter, high of the shrubby material, number of ground stems, and diameter of then at the base was recorded. It was found that 75% of the exemplars rebuild the canopy and that to a higher number of stems correspond a mayor high of them
