The distribution area of Prosopis genus is characterized by the aridity. Prosopis shows a high variety of adaptations and life forms in these territories with hydrical deficit. The aim of this paper is to make a general revision on the principal ecophysiological aspects of Prosopis analysing different scientific papers from many parts of the world.
