Abstract

COSTA, Mónica G  and  POSSIDONI, Cristina. Significant assessment through the use of icts2. Diaeta [online]. 2016, vol.34, n.154, pp.12-22. ISSN 1852-7337.

The objective of the Innovation and Incentive to Teaching project is the development of a new assessment strategy, by using the new information and communication technologies for the final work of promotion of the cathedra of Nutrition of the Nutrition career of the Faculty of Bromatology of the National University of Entre Rios. This need is not at random, but based on two previous experiences; one is the innovation project to teaching: "Students on the Plate: development of a new assessment strategy", a very successful experience, valued greatly by students, and the second one is the curricularization project: "Resignifying learnings, walking and learning with and among people". If we really want to stimulate from the cathedra some sort of learning oriented to the development of superior skills such as critical and creative thinking, the ability to solve problems, applying knowledge to new situations or tasks, analysis abilities and of synthesis of information, texts and facts analysis and the ability to elaborate a convincing argument, then it will be necessary to practice a new style of assessment in accordance with these aims. The results showed that this strategy is valid, adequate for this group of students, updated, original, and valued by the target. Thinking about assessment moments that restructure rigid thinking, sometimes even punitive, improves students´ performance. The idea is to make of this moment another one of learning, and to turn the assessment instance into a memorable one which endures as an achievable, pleasant, ludic and intense challenge, while contributing enough information towards professors to make the students get hold of the required knowledge.
