Abstract

MAREY, Macarena. La fuente de normatividad del derecho internacional kantiano y las fronteras nacionales. Rev. latinoam. filos. [online]. 2007, vol.33, n.2, pp.333-360. ISSN 1852-7353.

The aim of this paper is to show why the league of independent nations is the most accurate interpretation of Kant's law of peoples, as well as the most coherent with the rest of his political philosophy. To back this thesis, I contend that the normative principles that guide a Kantian international rule of law are both sovereignty and human rights, and that the former is demanded by the latter.

Keywords : Sovereignty; Perpetual peace; League of nations; Kantian law of peoples; Republican human rights.
