Abstract

CASTRO, Edgardo. Apparatus and Veridiction: On Deleuze's Interpretation on Foucault. Rev. latinoam. filos. [online]. 2016, vol.42, n.2, pp.195-216. ISSN 1852-7353.

This paper analyzes the writings of Gilles Deleuze on Foucault's notion of apparatus. It analyzes the points of approach and distance between the both thinkers, the Deleuze's position about the historicity of the apparatuses, and his interpretation of Foucault's thought as a philosophy of the apparatuses. It argues, finally, that this Deleuzian characterization should be completed by incorporating the concept of veridiction.

Keywords : Deleuze; Foucault; Truth; Apparatus; Lines of flight; Diagram.
