Abstract

HERRERA CASTILLO, LAURA E.. Expression and Force: Forms of Bare Functionality by G. W Leibniz. Rev. latinoam. filos. [online]. 2018, vol.44, n.2, pp.1-23. ISSN 1852-7353.

In this paper it will be defended the presence of an idea of functionality within the Mathematics, Metaphysics and Dynamics of G. W Leibniz, which can be helpful in order to explain the structures of two ways in which monad activity shows: as expression and as force. In order to do this, I will describe first the idea of a bare functionally, taking the contem-porary mathematical concept of fUnction as a starting point. Secondly, I will explain how a certain functional character may be found within expression. Finally, I will take into consideration the dynamic idea offorce, particularly the description of primitive force as ‘law of the series’.

Keywords : monad activity, function, law of the series, perspective, point of view..
