Abstract

SCHIAVONI, Gabriela. Time and Task: the estimation of work among migrant forest labourers in Northeast Argentina. Poblac. soc. [online]. 2015, vol.22, n.1, pp.93-114. ISSN 1852-8562.

We focus on the case of forest labourers from Misiones (Argentina) that move towards the cultivated Eucalyptus forests in the province of Entre Ríos (northeast Argentina). These workers are recruited cyclically in plantations associated to the cellulose and timber industry. Task-oriented jobs and performance-based payment predominate. An analytical approach on measurement is raised from the empirical description of task organization forms
