Abstract

MARTINEZ, Rosana  and  CARPINETTI, Elizabeth. Caracterización sociodemográfica y ocupacional de la migración reciente a la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Poblac. soc. [online]. 2021, vol.28, n.1, pp.53-85. ISSN 0328-3445.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.19137/pys-2021-280104.

Towards the mid twentieth century, the international migration to the country is mainly from bordering countries and Peru, and throughout the subsequent decades it becomes more and more feminized. In the last decade, this pattern was enriched by the arrival of Senegalese, Dominican and particularly Colombian and Venezuelan migrants. Based on data from the 2018 Buenos Aires Annual Household Survey, we analyze basic demographic and occupational characteristics as well as wages income.

Keywords : Regional migration; Socio-occupational characteristics; Venezuelans; Colombians.
