Abstract

BENGOLEA, Laura et al. Intraosseous lipoma with cystic changes. Rev. argent. radiol. [online]. 2008, vol.72, n.4, pp.463-465. ISSN 1852-9992.

Intraosseous lipomas are uncommon benign tumors of the bone. These lesions are usually monostotic, although cases of multiple intraosseous lipomas were described. Degenerative changes, fat necrosis, cyst formation and calcifications can be found. Intraosseous lipoma with cyst formation is an uncommon benign tumor of the bone, with characteristic CT and MRI features that facilitate the diagnosis. This is the case of a 28-year old female patient, with no relevant clinic and surgical histories, who presents intermittent left knee pain, and normal physical exam.

Keywords : Lipoma; Intraosseous lipoma; Bone tumors; Femur; Computed tomography; Magnetic resonance.
