Abstract

CAMACHO AYALA, Marco Antonio; D'ANGELO, Nicolás; SOLALIGUE, Débora Ruth  and  DE LUCAS, Federico. Hemophilic pseudotumor: A case report. Rev. argent. radiol. [online]. 2013, vol.77, n.2. ISSN 1852-9992.  http://dx.doi.org/10.7811/rarv77n2a03.

Hemophilic pseudotumor is an unusual complication (1-2%) in patients with a history of hemophilia. We report the case of a 62-year-old male patient with type A hemophilia, who presented with a painless mass that had appeared one year before, after trauma on his right thigh. In addition to clinical aspects, radiological findings obtained by different imaging methods (conventional radiology, ultrasonography, computed tomography, magnetic reso-nance imaging) were evaluated and reviewed taking into account their typical and atypical characteristics. Even if the final diagnosis of hemophilic pseudotumor was made by pathology, history and imaging techniques made it possible to adequately characterize the lesion and contribute to a proper therapeutic management.
