Abstract

BELEJ, Cecilia. Revolución y escritura: Blanca Luz Brum en las dos orillas del Plata en 1933. Mora (B. Aires) [online]. 2014, vol.20, n.2, pp.00-00. ISSN 1853-001X.

Blanca Luz Brum (1905-1985), the Uruguayan writer and activist is remembered above all by her beauty and love affairs with David Alfaro Siqueiros, Natalio Botana, Pablo Neruda and Juan Domingo Perón. Nevertheless, she was a writer who had a political commitment in the left during a long period of her life. The aim of this article is to examine her own voice in the particular time she was with Siqueiros in Buenos Aires in 1933. In order to do so, we will examine what has been written about her and how she was portrayed and then we will study her writing as well as the contemporary reviews of her books at the time she was in Río de la Plata.

Keywords : Blanca Luz Brum; Writer; 1933.
