Abstract

BILLOROU, María José  and  RODRIGUEZ, Ana María T.. Feminism and free thought: necessary edges to interpret the trajectory of Julieta Lanteri. Mora (B. Aires) [online]. 2023, vol.29, n.1, pp.1-1. ISSN 1853-001X.  http://dx.doi.org/10.34096/mora.n29.1.1072.

Julieta Lanteri is one of the referents of Argentine feminism and countless productions of the social sciences have studied her figure. In this article, we propose a journey that stops looking at a historical moment in which feminism intends to convey its struggle within the framework of a greater movement, Argentine free thought, with which, by the way, it did not find reception and therefore, they split in their itineraries. Feminism did not achieve an anchorage as a constitutive part of the movement, that is, it did not integrate into the minimum freethinking program and, therefore, finally sought other mechanisms of visibility of its claims. Focusing on Julieta Lanteri is a window to analyse the integration, negotiation and dispute between the two ideologies in a society in which men kept power in his hands and words.

Keywords : Julieta Lanteri; feminism; free thought.
