Abstract

CARPINTERO, Diego L. et al. Redescription of three little known genera of Acanthosomatidae (Hemiptera: Pentatomoidea) from South America. Rev. Mus. Argent. Cienc. Nat. [online]. 2020, vol.22, n.2, pp.191-200. ISSN 1853-0400.  http://dx.doi.org/10.22179/revmacn.22.695.

The type specimens of two monotypic and little-known genera of Acanthosomatidae from Bolivia, Cochabambia Pirán (Ditomotarsinae) and Tunaria Pirán (Blaudusinae: Blaudusini) are examined. Both species are described using known and new characters, and their taxonomic position is discussed. Tunaria is considered a junior synonym of Blaudus Stål. Consequently, Blaudus andicola (Pirán) comb. nov. is proposed as a new com bination. On the other hand, the male of Pseudosinopla canaliculus (Reed, 1898) (Blaudusinae: Blaudusini) is described for the first time.

Keywords : Acanthosomatidae; Cochabambia; Tunaria; Pseudosinopla; Redescription; Bolivia.
