Abstract

VELAZQUEZ, María Pilar. “An Artesanal little job”. Towards an understanding of state actions. Zaranda ideas [online]. 2019, vol.17, n.2, pp.21-32. ISSN 1853-1296.

This articule aims to expose one of the main axes of my Final Degree Work (FDW) in Anthropological Sciences, where, from an Antropology of Politics and State, I focused on the implementation of counseling on health promotion and prevention and Craft workshops, aimed at women in situations of socio-occupational vulnerability, within the framework of the national program Ellas Hacen. In this article I will try to show the main objective of the TFL: to carry out an ethnography of state actions, based on the study of the daily practices and work of the main actors responsible for the implementation of the councils. There were most categories and understandings of that social world were intertwined, while emotional relationships between trainers and program recipients arose. The recognition of their work as “artisanal” allowed me to understand the internal logic of the work that the trainers performed daily.

Keywords : State actions; Women; Government policies; Teaching; Learning.
