Abstract

DE DRIOLLET, Inés Sanjurjo. La pionera obra de Otto Brunner a través de sus comentaristas. Rev. hist. derecho [online]. 2011, n.42, pp.155-170. ISSN 1853-1784.

Otto Brunner was an Austrian historian who lived between 1898 and 1982. This is an eminent medievalist who has been considered a precursor of the New Social History of postwar Germany. His work, which was released late in the Spanish speaking world, occupies a central place among the background of current perspectives on legal and institutional history, that have strayed from the typical statist paradigm of positivist historiography of the nineteenth and much of the twentieth century. In this paper we propose a study of the work of this controversial author through his commentators.

Keywords : Otto Brunner; History of structures; History of concepts; New Social History.
